About Us

Arsenic Audio is home to producer/engineer/musician Nathan Wacey, Nathan is proud of his diversity in music tastes, instead of working in a sole genre, choosing instead to work in a much more holistic engineering approach through his 25 years of experience on the many incarnations of production equipment throughout modern music history. One of the very last engineers to be trained on large format tape machines, large format consoles such as Neve and SSL, and also present at precisely the right point for the transfer to digital mediums, Nathan now uses these skills in a unique multi-disciplinary approach to the recorded presentation of music. Nathan has worked on everything from medieval folk, to industrial, from reggae and dancehall, to punk and metal. With a healthy dose of electronica along the way.

After many years as an avid equipment user, Nathan changed his focus to truly creating a symbiotic relationship with the equipment and has taken the engineering side of the recording and music-making process along a hands-on, DIY manner, from building guitars to effect pedals, to an entire modular synth as well as personally ensuring the upkeep of our ex-BBC sessions Neve. He will be putting his first music equipment designs up for sale soon.
